New Delhi, 09 January 2026: Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang visited the revered Manakamana Temple and the holy Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal, where he offered prayers seeking divine blessings for the people and the State.
At Manakamana Temple, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati and situated atop a hill, the Chief Minister prayed for the well-being, happiness and prosperity of the people, with special prayers for the upliftment of the poor, the sick and the vulnerable, and for the overall development, peace and progress of the State and the nation. Guided by the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world is one family—he also prayed for universal peace and harmony.
During his visit to the Pashupatinath Temple, the Chief Minister offered prayers with deep devotion and humility for the good health, peace and overall well-being of the people of Sikkim. He also planted a Holy Parijat sapling within the temple premises, symbolising faith, renewal and reverence for nature.
The Chief Minister expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who extended support and cooperation during the pilgrimage, acknowledging their assistance in making the visits smooth, meaningful and memorable.
